Extreme Burpee-ness

Yesterday I tweeted about a new burpee challenge called the “Burpee Mile.” I’d read about it on wikipedia, listed under burpee. There are a bunch of variations listed, but this one caught my eye and curiosity.
Here’s what you do:
Do a burpee. Do a standing long jump. Repeat until you’ve covered a mile.
Who dreams up this stuff???
The description does say to modify the distance to your ability level. I’m thinking from here to the fridge and back. Ok, not really. Perhaps a quarter mile to start? I wonder how long it would take and how many long jump/burpee combos it would take me to do a lap around a track?
If I can find an hour or so in the next week, I’ll give it a shot. Anyone else game for this insanity???
